These install scripts make it easy for anyone having problems installing
the encyclopedia onto there harddrive.
*IMPORTANT - You still need AmiCDFS installed before using these
scripts.
Eg: QuickInstall-WORK, installs the Encyclopedia to your Work drive.
Please note: When installing the Encyclopedia through the QuickInstall
mode, there is no need to use the "BugFixer".
Usage
-----
Just double-click on the QuickInstall-XXX Icon.
Once installed you will find the Encyclopedia on your Harddisk, before
you can run it you will need to double-click on the AssignToXXX icon.
>BugFixer
Introduction
------------
* Sound corruption on fast Amigas.
* Subjects not working.
* Search not working.
Usage
-----
Just double-click on the BugFixer Icon. The program will pause at
each stage and ask for confirmation. When finished please run the
SETUP program on your Harddrive and select "Update Subject Index".
>Heres a list of common reasons why the encyclopedia won't work:
* AmiCDFS needs to be installed before the Encyclopedia is installed.
* Zappo drives simply need the latest version of the driver software
installed, this can be found in the FREEDATA/TOOLS directory of the
Encyclopedia CD.
* Software running in the background, such as a clock or VirusKiller can
cause the Encyclopedia to fail to load.
* IControl "Avoid Flicker" is ticked - This needs to be UN-Ticked.
* Reno CD-ROMs - upon installation seem to de-grade Workbench3 down to
Workbench2, so you may need to copy across all you Workbench3
directories apart from the S directory, this should fix the problem.
